If you’re working full time, I’d prob do Security+ first (gives you a solid baseline and HR tends to recognize it), then grind TryHackMe/HTB with a little daily schedule so it sticks. Bootcamps can be hit or miss, esp for the $$, so I’d only do one if they have real job placement numbers and you can talk to recent grads in Chicago. Also start building a small portfolio like writeups, a home lab, maybe a couple basic detection projects, that helps more than people think. That ugly bitch! As a nurse I see folks burn out trying to do everything at once, so pick one track (SOC/blue team is usually easiest entry) and stay consistent.
