I just wanted to warn everyone. If you see a listing for a luxury apartment that is very cheap and they ask for a ‘deposit’ via CashApp before you see the place—it is a scam.
It’s happening a lot in Brooklyn right now. Be careful!
I was looking for a studio in Flatbush and found a ‘realtor’ named Patrick. He showed me a beautiful place for $1,200 (impossible price!). He asked for a $500 deposit via Zelle just to ‘hold the keys’ before the viewing.
I reversed searched the image—it was a condo in Atlanta. Please tell your new family members arriving not to send money before seeing the apartment!
